Vitamin D

Vitamin D acts on over 1,000 different genes. It assists in calcium metabolism and bone formation. Without it – we’d be dead. If anyone concerned about toxicity from supplementation, if you’re getting adequate vitamin A, it’s almost impossible to overdose

Dose: 1,000 IU / 25lbs of body weight

Form: D3 with Vitamin K

Take it: In the morning

Magnesium

Magnesium is always under-appreciated. It is used in over 300 enzymatic processes, including ATP (energy) production. Magnesium deficiency is a serious problem. such as; heart arrhythmias, headaches, muscle cramps, nausea, migraines, heart attacks and pretty much everything else you don’t want.

Dose: 200 – 1000mg / day

Form: Malate, Glycinate, Threonate, Orotate

Take it: Before bedtime / Early morning to set circadian level

Vitamin K2

Vitamin K2, mostly found in grass-fed meat, raw milk pastured eggs.  K2 is a fat soluble vitamin involved in calcium metabolism. Excess calcium in arteries, leading to calcification and arteries blockage. K2 play a major role in reducing the risk of cardiovascular disease and bone loss.

Dose: 2,000 mcg / day (100 mcg MK-7 form)

Form: MK-4 and MK-7

Take it: At meal time, along with vitamin D (some fat in the meal to help the absorption)

Vitamin C

One of the safest and most effective supplement. Vitamin C is needed for collagen and connective tissue formation. Anyone suffering with Cardiovascular disease it could be a major deficiency in Vitamin C as it promotes collagen growth.

Dose: 1 – 10 grams / day (tolerance levels)

Form: Ascorbic acid or time release capsules / powder

Take it: In the morning and evening

Iodine

This is crucial for proper thyroid function and metabolism. also enhanced immune function and prevents brain damage.

Dose: 150 mcg to 1000 mcg / day

Form: Kelp powder or liquid

Take it: With food

EPA/DHA

Reduce inflammation. Improve brain function, and even enhance muscle growth – But, way too many poor quality exists out there. ˆ Krill Oil is the cleanest out there. Best to break the capsule and smell the liquid  – if it is fishy strong, it could be rancid. Omega 3 consumed before sleep, will help with heart disease as it prevents heart attacks (works as an anticoagulant)

Dose: 500 to 1000 mg / day

Form: Krill Oil

Take it: With meals / last meal of the day

Vitamin A

Super essential if you aren’t eating organ meats like beef heart, liver and kidneys. Fat soluble, important for normal vision, immune system, and reproduction. helps the heart, lungs, kidneys and other organs work properly and efficient. (your body does not utilize beta-carotene properly – and it’s a waste of money)

Dose: 10,000 – 15,000 IU / day

Form: Retinol

Take it: With meals

L-Tyrosine

An amino acid that boots mood, cognition, physical and mental stress response, and healthy glandular function. Great for neurotransmitters dopamine, epinephrine, and norepinephrine. it’s also the building block for thyroid hormone. as it allows your body to convert T4 to T3.

Dose: 500 – 2000 mg / day

Form: Pure L-Tyrosine / powder / capsule

Take it: Anytime

Zinc + Copper

Both are super critical tasks to keep you healthy, was found that people who experience a heart attack are deficient in Copper. They work together – too much zinc can decrease copper levels, together they form an antioxidant, one of your body’s most critical natural defense mechanism. found mostly in (beef liver, almonds, dark chocolate, asparagus)

Dose: 15 mg of zinc, 1 – 2 mg of copper / day

Form: Capsule

Take it: Outside of meals/supplements containing iron, calcium, phytates.

Methyl B-12 & Methyl Folate

Most people are deficient in B12. As this vitamin can protect against dementia, increase immune function, maintain nerves, and regenerate cells. Also lowers homocysteine and protects against atherosclerosis. Folate can also cause mental symptoms, they are both required to work together.

Dose: 5 mg methylcobalamin & 800 mcg of folate (not folic acid)

Form: Capsule / Lozenge

Calcium D-Glucarate

Your liver works hard for you. Even if you don’t drink alcohol or work with harsh chemicals, the toxins you breathe, eat, drink put a huge burden on your liver. Therefore, low energy, performance, mess with your hormone and makes it hard to lose fat. Causing a fatty liver and arterial plaque build up. It can decrease LDL cholesterol (small dense) assist in protein digestion, and more toxins and excess estrogen.

In the body CoQ10 is found inside the powerhouses of cells called mitochondria, the site where energy production occurs. mostly found in Beef Heart, and many organs. If you are consuming any type of statin medication, ensure you supplement your body with enough CoQ10 as it depletes this enzyme from your body and weakens your heart.

Dose: 100 to 300 mg / day

Form: Ubiquinol

B3 (Niacin)

Inositol Hexanicotinate releases a form of Niacin when it is processed by the body. The niacin can widen blood vessels, lower blood levels of fats such as (LDL particles – small dense) and break up a protein needed for the clotting of blood Lp(a) plaque build up. Maintain testing your liver enzymes as it does put a bit of stress if high dosages are consumed.
